Head of Corporate Banking
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Corporate has primary responsibility
to contribute to the growth in volume and earnings of Bank’s Corporate
Banking business and ensuring a healthy Corporate Banking portfolio by
guiding, mentoring the corporate banking team and fostering responsible
client/bank relationships.
Key Responsibilities include;
Provide high quality closure of credit process through the branch channel
Building business relationships regionally (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda
& Burundi) and in-country with view of attracting businesses across
the borders
Build and manage relationships with clients and understand their more
complex needs. Through regular meetings to maximize client satisfaction.
Good market knowledge and key contacts in business circles.
Being proactive and creative in understanding and providing solutions to client’s financial needs and services.
Drive and facilitate cross selling of bank's products including (Treasury, Investment, cash management, retail and liabilities).
Ensure growth in volumes & earnings from the portfolio being handled in line with agreed business budget.
Ensure overall health of the corporate portfolio.
Regular sessions of mentoring with RMs and on the job involvement.
Be informed and knowledgeable on product launches, campaigns and advertising
Provide high quality reports on sales and operations within country and group structures
Qualifications
Requirements
University Degree or equivaltnet qualification in Business
Administration, Banking, Finance or related field/equivalent experience
Excellent innovative, marketing, communication, organizing and leadership skills
Minimum of 10-15 years banking experience, with atleast 5 years in a
senior mangerial position with direct handling of deposit products and
money transfer services.
